Insert the following code into the “Head Tag Content/CSS” area of Miva Merchant 5.5. This area is global and will automatically insert the correct canonical links into all of your Miva Merchant pages. You do have to configure these links to work with your particular store links.
Up until now it seems that even non PCI Compliant versions of Miva Merchant were not getting flagged by some PCI Compliance scannig agencies such as SecurityMetrics. We came across a site that was being flagged as having ‘Possible blind sql injection’ and it was followed by a bunch links to the merchant Miva Merchant store. Often times the PCI Compliance scanners do raise false positives and in fact this is one of those times but simply running the latest streaming update from Miva within the Miva Merchant admin allowed this site to pass the scan. Your other option is to contact your PCI scanning company and alert them that this is a false positive and hopefully they comply. You should check with a Miva specialist to make sure the streaming updates will not conflict with any modules or customization that have been made to your store. It is also good practice to check that your additional modules are updated to the latest versions as well.
ALERT: Security Metrics PCI Compliance Scanning is now picking up on non-compliant versions of Miva Merchant.
SOLUTION: Stream the latest Miva Merchant updates from the Miva Admin (If it has been a while since the last time you ran the updates and your store is customized you may want to check with your web master or Miva Specialist before running the updates).

Finally, there is a list of SEO recommendations to implement on your Miva Merchant store to make it more appealing to search engines when they crawl your site. Miva Merchant is not completely search engine ready straight out of the box. You can change the number of items that are listed on pages within the Miva Admin. For instance if your store has hundreds or thousands of products you may want to see more than just 10 products listed when you click your ‘products’ link. I suggest changing the your ‘items per page’ to ‘100’. Doing this makes it easier to see more data on one page rather than having to click the next button 9 additional times to view the first one hundred items. Keep in mind that the more items you have listed on each page the longer it will take that page to load.
Changing the ‘items per page’ will affect several pages within the Miva Admin. Any page that dynamically lists items on a page for example: products, categories, pages, countries, orders, etc.

Click ‘EDIT’ next to the user you would like to change the items per page setting
